Leighton Contracting
Trained and Ready to Go
We recently trained the latest office to adopt QSCad in the Habtoor Leighton Group as they face the mammoth task of measuring a major road project.
During March and May we were pleased to train the latest site to adopt QSCad in the Habtoor Leighton Group as they face the task of measuring the new highway that will connect Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone to the main transport network of the UAE.
Basic training for the site based staff took place in March with Siteworks and Drainage training been conducted during May.
Facing a mountain of drawings including plans, cross sections and longitudinal sections for this four mile stretch of highway Leighton Contracting were keen to achieve the accuracy together with the time and cost savings that QSCad has to offer over manual measurement methods.
During the recent training John McAulay who has spent the last 21 years measuring these types of projects for a number of Major Contractors in the UK and overseas commented...
“This software is exactly what is needed, it builds upon the manual methods and takes the pain out of time consuming Siteworks and Drainage measurement, I only wish I had been able to use it before now!”
With a number of large infrastructure projects under consideration in both the UK and Overseas we are keen to ensure that everyone knows about the savings and accuracy that QSCad can offer on these major projects.
