Sharing Your Template Components.

If you spend some time creating a Template Component why keep it to yourself?

More and more users are beginning to create Template Components in order to measure multiple items more efficiently so we thought you might want to know how you can share them with others.

Other QSCad users on your network – making use of the Central Library.

Components can be stored in one of two places either in the drawing or in a Central Library open to all users of the QSCad system that share the same Project Manager.

If you have created a Component in a drawing and want to make it available for other users or for use in another drawing then simply save it to the Central Library by opening the component screen and clicking on the button shown below.

Other QSCad users located remotely – making use of the Export & Import Facilities.

Component Libraries can be exported to a file and imported onto another system using the buttons indicated below.

When exporting the users will be asked to select the library to be exported and then input the name and select the location in which to save the file.

When importing the user will asked to provide a name for the new Library on the new system.

We trust this will enable more people to benefit from Template Components.
