Abstract BQ's
A recent visit to a longstanding Masterbill customer reminded us of the value of printed abstracts so we thought we would remind you how to produce them in case they are of value to you.
Due to the full sortation approach adopted by Masterbill Bills of Quantities software it is common for a Bill item to represent the combination of a number of Dimsheets all making use of the same description.
In order to provide users with a clear audit trail a user may double-click on any Bill item and the Abstract will be displayed on the Left Hand Side as shown below. A second double-click on a listed dimsheet will display that particular dimsheet in full detail.
Users may also choose to print a Bill displaying the Abstract inserted between each Bill item as show below thus allowing anyone without access to a computer or located elsewhere to check the abstracts prior to issue of the document. This type of document can be produced by simply electing to show Abstract in the Bill properties.
Tip: The font used for displaying the Abstracts in the Printed document can be set as part of the Page Layouts.
