Offset your Measurements.
"How can I measure the centre line of a wall when it hasn't been drawn?"
“How can I allow for a mowing strip around the perimeter of my lawns?”
These questions and more can be answered by our offset measurement features.
If you need to measure something that is a known distance from a drawn item such as the wall face or garden perimeter then simply select either Length with Offset or Area with Offset from the Measure / Advanced measurement menu.
You can then measure as normal until you have completed your length or area when QSCad will ask for the Offset Distance you require, and ask you to locate which side of the line measured to offset.
The result is a measured item located exactly where you requested.
