Freeform Bills - BQs Made Easy!

More and more users are making use of Freeform Bills for Schedules of Rates, Schedules of Descriptions, Preliminaries, Demolitions and Alterations (or Downtakings) and Provisional/PC Sums sections of their Bills.  Why?

We believe it is primarily due to the fact that it is so easy to create and enter items either from scratch or by re-using existing data.

Freeform Bills allow the user to enter items by making use of the following:

  • Direct Entry
  • Copying items from a previous ‘known’ document
  • Copying whole Parts and/or Elements from a previous ‘known’ document
  • Copying from any previous document using the powerful search facilities
  • Making use of the Library of Descriptions
  • Importing from an Excel file
  • Importing from an XML file

In fact it has become so easy to create a Freeform Bill that several of our Local Authority customers have even persuaded their Building Surveyors to adopt the system for all their Tender Documents thus enabling them to contribute to a database of descriptions and costs – something they have been unable to do in the past when creating their documents in Word or Excel.

All that remains is to ask ‘What is stopping you making the most of this facility?  If it simply a case of requiring further training why not contact us today?
