Following his recent adoption of Masterbill Elite and QSCad in his Muscat office, Adaan Bin Shaaban Qattan has once again led the way for Omani QS's to follow.

Throughout his career Adaan has been keen to further the QS profession in his country starting with him becoming one of the first, if not the first, Omani national to become Chartered by the RICS back in 1996,  throughout his career with the Oman Ministry of Defence and now by adopting the latest Masterbill software in his own practice.

In the two years since he began his practice, having taken early retirement from the MOD, Adaan has seen a steady growth in the business and his workload, he now has six QS’s and is working on numerous projects for both government and private clients.

Adaan told us that for him adopting the software simply made sense and was so important to assist the business in maintaining high standards whilst approving efficiency that he has even put off purchasing a new car in order to pay for it!  This becomes even more impressive when you realise that the air conditioning keeps breaking down on his old one and it is currently around 46 degrees in Oman.

Whilst carrying out the training in Muscat we were also privileged to be able to carry our demonstrations for a number of government departments and private companies and so we hope that Aldaan will be ‘the first of many’ for Masterbill in Oman.
