QSCad - What's New? - Template Component Repeats

As Template Components become more and more popular so users want to do more with them.

Since their release a year ago Template Components are becoming more and more popular with users who want to measure more than one item at a time and yet retain the flexibility to specify variable values.

Recent work carried out with a UK Timber Frame Company and Malaysian QS’s measuring reinforcement have spurred us to make it possible to enable users to combine QSCad’s extensive Repeat Facilities with the Template Components. 

The result means users can make even more use of these facilities and drastically speed up their measurement of repetitive items.

Users may create a Template Component in the normal way

They can then measure the first instance and then make use of the extensive Repeat Facilities within QSCad to measure further instances of this item.

Then when they view the Summary users will see that each repeat has been given its own unique measurement reference and results recorded.
