Trim & Extend Facilities
These new features make it possible to make even more use of the Repeat Facilities.
It is accepted that the Repeat Facilities within QSCad are a great way of saving time but what happens when they are being repeated throughout an awkward or complex shape rather than a simple rectangle?
Well QSCad now includes facilities that enable uses to repeat and then adjust their measurements to suit the awkward or complex shape using new Extend and Trim facilities which enable the user to define a line against which all repeated lines should be ‘trimmed’ or ‘extended’ to. This means that a user making use of the repeat facility to measure floor joists at 450 centres could repeat the joists as seen below.
They can then apply the Extend and Trim facilities to ensure that the joists match the complex shape as shown below.
The Extend and Trim functions can be accessed from the Edit menu.
