Past, Present and Future
The last month has been as busy as ever at Masterbill with new releases of both Masterbill Elite and QSCad and visitors from both Overseas and closer to home.
These recent events have caused me to think about the Past and the firm foundations and principles upon which all Masterbill software has been built including a large number of loyal customers who have been working with us since the early days of DOS based micro computers.
I have also had reason to consider the Present as I have been testing the latest features and training others to make full use of our software.
Finally I have been looking to the future, discussing the features to be included in future releases of the software, taking a sneak preview of the next QSCad CAD engine, making plans for the official launch of the Cash Flow Forecasting Module, arranging User Group Meetings and considering the best time to arrange this year’s User Conferences.
As you can probably tell there is never a dull moment in our office, and insufficient time to write about all these things in detail in this Newsletter but we hope you will read on, join us on the journey and find out all we have to offer in the months to come.
Paul Watkins - Sales & Marketing Director

eTendering Survey - Your last chance...
Back in December we asked why eTendering was still not being fully implemented in the UK Construction Industry and asked you, our readers, to help us discover the answer by completing a short survey.
Well with just four responses in four months it seems as if complacency may just be the winning answer, unless that is, you tell us otherwise.
Please help us find out the real reasons why eTendering isn’t delivering by completing the survey during the next few weeks.
A Blast from the Past!
"There's a man on the phone called David Windsor, says you know him, do you think it's just another Sales call?"
It was a bit of a surprise but little did our Administrator know that David Windsor was in fact the Managing Director of Masterbill from its inception in 1981 through to his retirement in 1998. More...
Out of Africa!
For as long as I can remember we have had an agent in Kenya, a recent visit to the UK has reviatlised the relationship and should see an increase in the number of African users.
March saw the visit of the next generation of Miguna Consultants in the form of George Karita when he spent a week with us to be trained in the very latest Masterbill Elite and QSCad systems. More...

What's New?
Which Library? or "Where's my dims gone?"
One of our most common support calls starts with the words "My dims don't seem to be included in my Bill"
Fortunately this is rarely due to an error in our software but is simply due to the user getting confused with which Library or Libraries their descriptions are coming from
Expert's Corner - Creating a Preliminaries Bill

Why Upgrade? - Reason 23 - Jumping from Dim to Bill
Doesn't it just infuriate you that you have to wait for a Bill to regenerate and then navigate to find the item you just edited?
Well Masterbill Elite customers are a whole lot less frustrated as they are now making use of a feature that enables them to jump straight from the Dimsheet to that item in the Bill with a single click. More...

During the last month I have been surprised again by a user advising me that they were not aware of the Phrases facility.
